personally i'm tired of the choir singing "cheater!" each time i win my fifth match in a row

cheating kills more than it saves so if any opponent of mine wants to cheat i say go ahead, ruin your selfesteem while losing even more than before  (i base this on the test nico has done <-- do i remember correctly?)

i'm also slightly tired of the word lag, especially when used by ppl who haven't grasped the idea that you have to do some ping compensation (and that it's not always the same)

I don't alwayss blame it on lag, alot I do,lol, but lately I have based it on my crappy 3-4-5 FPS, thats why I havent been playing alot lately. I think it has to do with my laptop powersource, I'm changing some of the settings in both computer and game ito try to improve it. I hope it works because of those people that are like "Oh man, this sucks, only 45 FPS" Sorry if I'm getting a little off topic.

lol its ok, everyone gets lag though no matter what fps they are
either you are the one lagging or you are seeing other ppl that are lagging
so everyone is basically in the same boat

are you sure you mean me, node? i can't remember finding a bonafide way to cheat, although i found some tricks:

- an unpopular alias that people crash over in their haste to defeat?
- hoodwinking other players through psychological warfare?
- i never spent much time with ping comp of 65535
- lag bombing? i spent one day doing that, i think
- my use of a gamepad to play?
- i definitely edited my settings files, but that the server overrides of course

ummm... uhhh?

I belive the lag slide comes from the change in arma's "ping" value . What i mean is a ping value goes from 220 ms to 320 ms (which is normal for me) making the server readjust where you are and hence slide (I'm used to the slides now). As far as i know my ICMP packets or any other of my packet very rarely has that much variation.

I believe this to be a bug in the net code.

before goshdarn went "kaput" it said on a good day i had 230 ms and a normal day 300+

Code: Select all

  1 <1 ms <1 ms <1 ms 192.168.1.1
