Cool, I was just wondering. I have a few guy friends with long hair (including my bf) and I had a discussing with them about whether guys should/do wear it up or down. Figured I'd ask.

Heh. Most of the guys I know (that I know what they look like) are real stuff-looking. I get a fair amount of weird looks at school when I'm wearing my hat, but when I'm not wearing it the looks go away for the most part. There's still a few stuffy "look at the hippy" looks.

Funny, though. This guy in my chem class has been a Windows admin guy for a few years, says he can pick programmers out of the crowd. He had not only picked me out as a programmer, but as a Linux guy, the latter part being based on my hair more than anything else. :)

Anyway, I think I've done my part for gender equality. ;)

My hair was at one point about 2/3 down my back, back around 1998. I was just curious what it would look like long. Every woman I knew at the time wanted my hair. Long, full, wavy, auburn, never any split ends, heh. At that point, I mostly pulled it back.

It has been short since late '98, which definitely looks better. Then two Newtonmases ago I received some electric clippers. I figured I should put them to use, so since then I've been buzzing my own head (I do a nice fade; looks pro), and then letting it grow out, and then buzzing it again. Good way to save dough.
