Games where you kill living things are terrible.

Played it online for a bit, how's this different than mw2/black ops? Feels the exact same way.

Where are the living things in Tron? I see a bunch of abstract ideas and geometry.

Sorry, I never feel the sensation of wanting to shoot people with a gun, even an imaginary one. The popularity of games like COD disturbs me.

Oh well.

How could they do it different anyway? Except weapons, story and maps, there's nothing they could change.

This is true, especially as these games have become more realistic, but I'll tell you what disturbs me a bit more. About a quarter of this country is unemployed or underemployed, with a sizable portion of the employed qualifying as the 'working poor'—including a disproportionately high number of veteran and active military (which this game pretends to glorify, in actuality exploiting) falling into those categories—yet these kids and/or their parents see fit to spend that kind of money on such a mindless, crude (in every sense of the word) video game. That's some serious grocery money, or a bill paid right there. That's not just disturbing, it's kinda disgraceful. Plus, the "no life" thing; such worthless endeavor.

On a lighter note, Louisville football head coach Charlie Strong partially blamed Saturday's loss to Pittsburgh on the players' excitement and distraction of the 'MW3' release.

Strong hopes Louisville football heeds 'Call of Duty' this week - Distraction leads to missed opportunity

Here's an even better article I saw about it. Totally agree after playing the game for a bit (housemate owns it, he's been playing it rather a lot)

The first half is valid (and I reckon it describes not only the characters but the players' attitudes as well), but he lost me when he started in with the homophobic stereotypes. Macho insecurity, yes. Rambozo-ism, yes. "Homoerotic," no.
