I have two folders in my bookmarks, one called "Cracked: to read" (30 items) and the other just called "Cracked" (63 items, read). Heh. Neither of them have (or would have) those links up there, though. I just stumbled across them while quickly looking for something humorous about actors who play the same character in every role—e.g., Jack Nicholson, Owen Wilson.
But anyway, I only just now looked back at the first page of this thread, and now I remember why it died in the first place. It should have been left dead.
Still love that Lemony Snicket letter, though, and still don't know why it's in a "funny" thread. It's beautiful.

I thought this is funny, even if a bit old. It suggests that the Ancient Greeks could have believed in cyclopses (one-eyed giants) because they found the big skulls of baby elephants or gorillas that often have a hole in the area that was interpreted as the eye socket (because they're more fragile there)
