Couple other notes: As Jonathan noted, it needs to be the actual file, not an alias.
Are his locations correct for LAN? Even running a dedicated server, those files (autoexec.cfg, server_info.cfg, settings_custom,cfg, etc.) are in a var folder, at least the way Gene has set up mine.
Also,
You don't need to 'include' autoexec.cfg. As the name implies, it is automatically executed when the client or server is run. Also, if running a LAN game is anything like running a server, you don't want to use the console.
