I'll have to leave you to the capable hands of Luke-Jr then :) My own competence for ATI on Linux is limited to entering "x1300 radeon linux" in Google.

Hey, I just want to add that even though I rarely reach a full 60fps on my driver-less Ubuntu machine, the quality is amazing when I do. Actually, after I reach about 50 fps I can notice a quality difference that my WinXP machine can't produce. Pretty weird.
