We could always do like tst and have 2 separate opening rounds.

Don't forget the WST is in 2 weeks!!! Lets get to 32+ teams this time!

P.S. Has a 64 team bracket ever been used?

Just to clarify, team of 2 are ok? The last discussion ended with someone (apparently with authority in this regard) flat out saying minimum of 3 players per team, but there is no mention of this in the rules.

Thanks

You're not really supposed to play with 2 players. It does provide an advantage, as your team can only give up 120 points per round as opposed to 150 with 3 players.

Ok, so you are risking 25% more points to give away, but you have 50% more manpower, so having 3 players is twice as good as 2 players.

If you enforce 3 players, the 3rd can just circle the zone and never die. There is no way to enforce "you must try to play", since it's a legitimate point saving strategy. The rule is un-enforcable.

dariv, we've been trying to tell them that countless times, but they're* too stubborn to understand it because they think the only reason Rudy and Punish won that one tourney (I think it was WST 2) was because of an unexplainable reversed player advantage, and not just skill advantage.

*whoever still thinks Rudy and Punish wouldn't have won that tourney 2v2 ;)

So if you guys think 2v3 is an advantage, why don't you recruit a 3rd player and make him go around the outside? If you truly believe it's an advantage, this is what you will all do, unless you don't want to win!

If however your 3rd player is actively participating then he can't honestly say to himself "I think 2 players is an advantage".

This all aside from the fact I think it's very poor taste to imply Rudy and Punish "cheated" when in my mind they are both incredible players.

A team must have 3 players signed up on the wiki. The law (rule) is that you must play with 3 players but it isn't enforced...try to play with sportmanship and throw 3 players in there.

Seems like there is 27 teams signed up so far!!
It would be cool to get 6 more teams up there and be forced to use a 64 team bracket! Well, we could just throw an earlier match in the 32 team..blah blah...anyway, we need servers. I will send some PM's within the hour.

EDIT: Right now we will need 13 servers. We have 10 with my 2, R's 2, G5's 2, Z-man's and CT's 3.
I would probably be able to host 1 or 2 more off the dedicated server but it would be nice if we can get 3 more servers off of different vps's or dedicated servers.

isnt the TST 2 players per team? There would be no point to separate tournaments if 3 players per team was optional and there were teams all over the place with just 2 players.
