UK was so lucky there, me and max with two other players were beating an 8-man team easily 2:0, then someone joined us and we've lost 2:3, that's the power of a single player in a tournament match
1, 4, 6, 9, 11, 21, 24, 33, 34, 35

@ Hoax: As I said yet, I did not know that there was such a tournament before :) I think we can play it though.

I also think everyone should get a chance to play. Hungary, for example, only has 3 or 4 tronners, can they, in case they want to, team up with e.g. lithuania?
You could organize the teams by time zone.

The second one that you are referring to never happened since, as you said, the site went down. The second one that I was referring to was the DDL ITWC. That was won by "West Coast" aka Western U.S.

Thats power only really existed in the pre-crazy(read: strategic)-holing era.

Considering that the majority of fortress players in the US are on the east coast, and not very many are farther west, this doesn't seem very practical. Instead, it would probably be best to just have multiple teams, without regards to where they are in the country.

i suggest usa playing one man down with one admin focused on admin killing decisive players in some decisive rounds, so it's fair for the rest

But for getting these teams complete we would need all players (even all americans) to show up here or to tell somebody else that they want to take part in it; then we could just get the teams and ignore from where in the USA they are ... like this

Definitely, you should divide the US into zones. AND DON'T FORGET AN AUSSIE TEAM! I bet we could get at least 3 aussies, and 3 others to play on their team!
Just to make it truly fun, I would be happy to donate servers for "home servers" in the following locations. Australia, LA USA, Kansas City USA, Chicago USA, New Jersey USA, London UK, Maidenhead UK, Friedburg Germany.
Armagetron: It's a video game that people should just play and enjoy :)
