1. How many smart/good attackers are out there? Well there are 3 attackers on each ladle team, probably only 4 smart/good attacking groups.

2. What are the chances that the last 2 players are attackers to begin with. Both of them probably less than 10%, 1 of the 2, probably less than 33%. Most of the time, the sweepers and defense are the ones living.

3. Add in human error. Much more likely for an attacker to die than it is for iNs.

You're looking at 50/50 best scenario for the attackers. Judging by the last two ladles, iNs has won more of these fights than he has lost by a significant margin.

If we have moved on from the anti-SP debate, then all I have to say is this - less talk, more play!

It doesn't matter if you think insa's defence is nooby, or our attacking style has been boring (neither of which are true!). Read Concord's talk on fortress 2009, when arrow came along, we had a completely new style of play that took people by surprise which led to us winning (and perhaps even dominating) for a short while.

Then as Concord said, people analysed our tactics, worked out our weaknesses and wrote their own tactics which beat us. So is this new style of play the new way forward for ladle? Maybe for a short while, but once a team have figured our moves out, they'll be the new champions.

And you failed to address anything I said appa!

what i would do with such a def (this means 2 attackers vs 1 def):
1. let the def shrink
2. gank the zone
what's so hard about it (except that it's boring :) )?
you won't need any good attackers for it...

Simple solution to SP's tactic.

1a. all 6 of your players must stay aive.

2. Kill SP members leaving defender unharm

3. hole and win.

1b. if they try to hole, all your guys are alive so just crowd the defense and stay alive(see number 1a.) repeat 2 and 3.

see I win.

wasn't that hard =]

1. where's 1b?
2. your plan is not very practical.

:P

This topic was made because Plus? seems to be a bit angry over the loss, not neccesarily about the tactics. We'll see next ladle how it goes, I doubt this is gonna change how everyone plays, but like I said; we'll see.

Wow... talk about flame bait. No need to come back and try to start shit with Plus. This topic wasn't made for any reason involving Plus. You're interpreting it wrong. I haven't even discussed this post with any of them. I just want to know that people will be doing their best to compete against these tactics in the next Ladle. I hope everyone is ready for SP next time!

I also hope you will try not perpetuating bullshit drama for once. The way some people are responding is not how I imagined. Sorry about that. If you have anymore issues, please direct them to me in private.

Players on the grid were describing SP's tactics in those ways. I was reporting on it. Are you all so naive that you don't think people thought that your tactics sucked balls? Does it matter what people think? I guess so because you're putting a lot of time into defending yourself after you won the Ladle. Speaking of which, yeah, SP did have some shameless pride about how they won the Ladle and were throwing it in people's faces. Now SP's on the defensive. I'm glad. When people have to talk shit after winning a Ladle I think they're a little ashamed of themselves. SP's tactics were nothing special, but they are something people shouldn't ignore.

What does ANY of that have to do with Plus?

Cheers.

Excuse me,
I can tell you one thing, Plus does not think that.
you brought Plus into this, also, SP's tactics sucked balls? What does that say about the teams that lost to this sucky tactic? :P

You're taking the butthurt loss too far, but I'm done responding here, your flamebait worked, congratz!

Naive? How about.. who cares? I haven't discussed how lame SP tactics were with anyone, and I don't think anyone really cares! If people are complaining about it, surely it just makes them sore losers and seem pretty sour? I really don't understand the purpose of this thread, other than to point the fact that you (and perhaps others) thought SP's tactics were annoying but effective!

What your essentially saying is SP's tactics were really good and really effective, but annoying because they were so simple and hard to play against

Your reasoning behind this is that you're worried it might be the boring future of ladle tactics, but then by referencing Concord's fortress 2009 article, you've made a bit of a blunder as his report basically says that the champions of fort are the ones who come up with a new style/tactic of play, and this title is then handed to the team who find a better stragety to counteract the 'champions' tactics

So if we look at this way, SP should thank you for your compliments concerning the effectiveness of our tactics, and the acknowledgement of us being the current 'champions' (Personally, I don't agree with this last part at all!)

Your comment about our pride may or may not be true, but Flex has already addressed the clan in-light of this topic and the incidents you are talking about, reminding us to not to be arrogant, and gracious in response to our two victories. So we are dealing with that accusation.

And I was simply pointing out that after liz mentioned Plus once, you started accusing her of flame-bait! So in response, I pointed out all the comments you made about SP which are far more offensive and numerous, which some would also describe as "flame-bait".

I really don't get what all this fuss is about anyway.. We've won 2 ladles in a row, tx have done it before, as will another team! And SP are definitely not dominating like your post seems to be suggesting. Right now, I'd say that Plus, CT, KoD, Tx and SP all have enough skill and equal chance of claiming the next ladle win.
