Just because I don't really know what's going on here, is there a way for me to upload a new map resource? I'm guessing no, since beta.arma is still down. What's the status on all this?

beta.armagetronad.net should be coming back online once the dns propagates. I'm not sure if it'll all work correctly. Also, I have no idea about updating it, etc. But it's there. You can browse the resource repository as of how it is when I made the copy. Also, turns out I don't have the .htpasswd with the resource user accounts, so no uploading resources yet. Luke, how can we work this with the round robin of the existing resource servers?

Glad to hear this is getting done tank. I am going to add a server to the round robin, and Luke just gave me my mirror number. So, next week I will work on getting my mirror working.

Is this error anything to do with what's happening here?

In the pic it says your primary repository is plantpeanuts.co.uk (thus it says it is trying plantpeanuts.co.uk/ed/ etc...) and your backup is resource.armagetronad.net/resource...And no, this has nothing to do with that, because beta.armagetronad.net was down, not resource.armagetronad.net/. Try making your primary repository resource.armagetronad.net/resource

Hmm, looks fine :) We can't upload to aabeta yet, of course. Tank, can you do something about it? Here's my key:

Tank, have you even setup a distfiles mirror yet? Or just beta itself?

I have the file setup to potentially be a mirror, but don't know what I'm going to do about a domain... distfiles.armagetronad.net is already taken... Ideas?

Z-man, can you (or someone else) explain what happened when you logged into aabeta to upload something? I never used it myself so I'm unsure of what you expect to happen...

distfiles was setup to work like resources. Except instead of "one", "two", etc, it's "D.distfiles.aabeta.dashjr.org" and so on:

D.distfiles.aabeta CNAME d-distfiles-aabeta-dashjr-org.dreamhosters.com.

Let me know if I need to change where that points.

We needed to be able to upload files, and we had to run "sudo -u armagetronad update-aabeta (not sure of the script name). The aabeta site is in SVN, and to add a new release or package you need to edit releases.php. The script on the server basically just ran “svn up”.

You shouldn't need to manually svn up. Let's get armabot's updater working? Or maybe integrate it with bazaarmagetron stuff?

Oops I got this wrong. There is no distfiles, only beta.armagetronad.net/distfiles. I was thinking of resources.

@dlh: OK, that's something like what I expected, which means the process will change some. I don't think I can work separate users. Everyone will have to use the same login... that should be OK right?

Pretty sure Dreamhost supports seperate users... but this only matters for distfiles, not beta. Beta should be strictly svn-up-on-change.

Pretty sure Dreamhost supports multiple users in groups, though.

Resources are a whole different beast. :/
