If interest in weekly play drops off, the ladder will still be relevant for those who want to pick it back up later. We can even open up the team limits to pretty much whoever wants to play. We can do 8v8, 4v4, 8v3, 6v2... basically whoever accepts the challenge for the team and shows up.
Someone go make a website and let's do it. Maybe the website can include something like that Doodle thing.

As long as ladder is based on RECENT play... I have seen some racing servers work on record times and players who have not been playing in a long time are still on top of the ladder or something.
