I've randomized quarter servers and swapped semifinals servers, because having teams playing 100% in their home server is just not normal.

Nobody complains except those who think they have a disadvantage.

Durka did you already have the serverplacement ready somewhere before you did the draw?

*Changed the the 4th Quarterfinals server from VCL-Fort to CT-Ladle-1*

*Arrow, PRU and DS all agreed on this decision*

I think its a good idea that every team has to play in both US and Euro servers to get to the finals. However as Lacka pointed out, it should be decided by the collective as well.
If the server placement was done prior to randomly slotting the team which i think it should be, then i think its still fair on every team because its just as likely to have all away servers to the finals.

But i don't think its fair that setting change as such is decided by an individual.

I thought the finals was the only match that two teams could vote on which server to play??? I don't recall anything like that allowed in previous Ladles that i've played in except the finals.

After having a closer look at the servers for the first round it seems like that all the teams that have a home server got their home server....(except Wild West)
Durka did you allocate it like that or was that totally coincidental?

Well it would be pretty crazy to play on VCL fort as it's an USA server, while all the teams in our bracket are European (-»|, DS and PRU)
I don't see the problem of it, all the teams agreed, the server was empty, the admin agreed and I told everyone in advance...

@Freako
I didn't say there was a problem. I was just stating how it has been. But from your agrument if two teams showed up with 7 players and both teams agreed to play 7vs7 then is that ok? Where do you draw the line?
I think its a good idea to allow that but shouldn't the collective decide that as well just like the server allocation change Epsy did....

Believe it or not, the servers were randomized in the same fashion as they were for Ladle 20. However, TR Fort and Z-Man's had byes, but since these were the 2 best servers AND we could use the secondary server rule, I swapped them. The servers are back to normal.

Recordings:
Octafinal PRU vs Arrow in two bits (something odd happened in the first match....)
octa.aarec
octa2.aarec

quarter.aarec, Arrow vs DS

semi.aarec, Arrow vs ID

final.aarec, Arrow vs Plus (On the TR server, crashes at the end because DDMJ did something strange to the server after the match was long over)

As usual, all recordings are done with 0.2.8.2.1. This time, I mapped camera movement to regular keys, too, in addition to the default mapping: WASD moves it, Q and E raise/lower it, IJKL turn it, U and P zoom.

The few rounds I played vs plus where exciting. Wish arma hadn't crashed, win or lose would have liked to play to the end of the second match.

Grats to both Arrow and plus great final.

Edit: noticed all the matches were clean sweeps, interesting.
