twelfth tronic ladle -- sunday 3rd june

hmm dunno whats goin on anymore xD Ok I also found 2 players that were planning to join TM.
How about this.
Right now it is planned
tui vs oops
vs ---- tui/oops vs sp/x
sp vs x
The winner of those 4 teams plays TM in the finals..TM doesn't play a match.
Let's change it to:
tui vs oops
vs ---- tui/oops vs x
x vs bye
The winner of those 3 teams plays the winner of TM/Sp in the 2nd bracket. That way TM will have a team and each team will play at least 1 game b4 the finals?

sorry guys
the place that i stay currently
assured me access to the net
and i was delayed
and delayed
until eventually i could get on
and found i couldn't even get onto the server to play for my own team!
glad people took some initiative
and things went ok...
as an end to the tronic ladle experiment
i'd like to open a discussion thread
to see if we can establish how best to proceed...
one thing to remember
with self-organising things:
the offset of having a system which is flexible enough to respond spontaneously
is that it is a little 'messier'
the offset of a strict, standard tournament
is that it is rather rigid and does not have flexibility
the fact we have managed 12 ladles
seems to suggest to me
the principle of it works...
all we need
is to improve upon it
i can not emphasise how important this is
oh
and can someone fill in the challenge board
since i don't know the scores and even who won!
oh2
i recorded it
and hope to find bits to play around with...
any recommendations?

thanksHoAX wrote: Thx to 2020 for organising all the ladles. Theres always 'feedback' after each one but in the end we all enjoy the event. GM's
but i didn't do much...
that's like thanking zman for the game after each game...
which perhaps we should do hehehe
i set up the system
it evolved through various stages thanks to player input
and it generally ran by itself...
the proof of it being
that i ended up getting to games late several times
and it still seemed to go on
some better than others i have to admit...
i can not emphasise the difference enough:
self-organising relies on player trust
traditional system relies on trust of authority
we have proven what many forum-commentators said we could not do
not just once
but 12 times!
at my age
i must say
this is a formidable achievement
and all participating players should feel proud
(after all
it was pretty stressful sometimes
both helping to organise our teams
as well as play the games!)
most recognition
i think
should go to the admins
zman, wrtl, and... who else was involved in admin servers?

For the results i shuffled it around a bit, because the way it's on the challengeboard didn't really make any sense (why would the winner of sp/x play tm?). So I put tui and oops in the upper half (where they already were) and x, sp and tm in the lower half (so it does make sense that the x played tm in the semi's).
