How can non-double binders beat double binders?

Anything about how you get those awesome core-dumps, or why you don't get them...

I never used double-binding (too lazy to change) and I am still with the top on some servers.

Most db-users I encountered start to heavily whine when you just trap them in a small enough box or close up paths. Use glances wisely and anticipate. And watch out for those hooks and other moves multi-binding users tend to pull off.
Just use your common sense and practice.

Well I played single bind for a year. Many people double binding would just laugh at me but I found out its actually much better If you play single Bind.

Many double binders will try to out grind you on the wall when they find out you single bind. travel around these people and trap them while they are pre-occupied grinding away. I also found that If you are trapped, you can just go left and right on a wall to avoid dying, and wait for the trappers wall to subside. (Don't do what I just told you if the server is not camp friendly)

since i've started
playing
i have made
a conscious choice
to single bind

i look at the players
that beat me the most
and imitate
them

as for stratego
i use a wide camera
i keep my eyes open

with doublebinding so many turns
become
generic
they are predictable
single binding makes it
difficult for someone
else to follow
your crazy trail

I find it funny that some double binders can only do 180s of "cycle_delay width".

I think that at least having

two keys set

for each turn

helps.

There are some times,

when it is just better

to double bind instead of two fast single binds.

But there are also times when

you should just single bind.

It helps to use

both techniques.

I think the number of times I get confused while double-binding and core dump myself roughly equals the number of times it saves me. When I was last actively playing, I considered eliminating the double-binds to see if I could train my hands to save me in those same situations that double-binding can save you and remove the times it encouraged self-core-dumping.

But as I've whined about before, the change to Feisty and the upgrade to Gutsy hasn't yet given me 3d acceleration, so I'm not playing actively. :(

I double bind so that I can switch hands easily, and have various positions depending on which hand I'm using and how it's feeling. Does that make me lame? :3

Sorry Tank, but.. Yes. But on a brighter note I have keys bound for dbin' and do it from time to time. So I'm occasionally lame as well.
