IMHO. If you are a straight non-jewish white person you can not ever say racism is okay or ever try to defend it.

If you are not gay you don't know how bad it hurts to be called a ******. If you are not black you don't know how it feels to be called a ******. If you are not Mexican you do not know how it feels to be called a spic. If you are not Jewish you can never know how it feels to be called a kike.

Theres a difference between joking and being plain racist! I can't actually speak for Sin, but i think he was just trying to remind everyone of the actual reality of the situation. People are racist in humor sometimes. The fact that thats even called "racism" is a joke, to be honest. It should just be called a joke

Example: I just told killer on facebook: "go roll me some cigars"

No. I don't think anyone on here supports the use of offensive words in everyday speak (Dave chappele did a hilarious bit on that, try and find it its awesome) Do I joke with my black friends about chicken and watermelon? You guys have to remember that its not the easiest thing in the world to empathise with racism/homophobic/any victims, if you are a straight white male (can add other titles there, but lets leave it).

So although you may not condone, agree, or even acknowledge some of the points made here, in fairness, people making them don't really know any better, and are unlikely ever to experience real prejudice, so can't neccessarily be expected to be able to empathise.

Bit of a hot potatoe, and I'll probably regret dropping it in here later, but, on a related note:

Whenever someone makes a stereotypical joke, comment or whatever, I've noticed people's reactions are greatest in the areas of:

1)Race
2)Homophobia
Followed by
3)Sexism

But a distant 4th is religion. People openly insult christianity on this forum, in game, and pretty much everywhere on the internet. I've been called an idiot, moron, stupid, retard, "wtf are you thinking" and moderators, etc don't bat an eyelid. Heck even one of the moderator's names is "Lucifer".

On the other hand, I could carelessly throw the n word (which I don't ever use, this is purely hypothetical) or call someone a f@g (which I have been known to do) and its more likely than not that I'll get crushed by a ton of bricks of complaints.

What I'm trying to say is, nobody is perfect, and at the end of the day, if we spend all our time focusing too much on this issue, we'll end up making it worse. Accusing others of being bad is equally as bad as being wrong in the first place, since everyone is guilty at some point of some injustice
