I think there was 9 yellow cards ? Oh my..
The final was a good example, at least. Just shows how it is necessary to fall down and cry to get the foul called.

Robben had a sweet run >.<. Thought it shoulda been a PK.

Dunno!

I know I'd love to see it in ice hockey.

I MISS THE CUP SO MUCH

I'm watching MLS games and highlights of the eastern European leagues currently in session. I can't even think about watching the EPL yet and what not.

I heard Werder Bremen has to get rid of Ozil because at the tender age of 21 his wage demands cannot be met. What is happening to these young footballers? Down with agents I say! Joe Cole is pulling this in England and will only consider Liverpool if his wage demands are met AND he is guaranteed a starting spot. LIVERPOOL!

As far as all this technology discussion goes, I would much rather see the 5 referee system experimented with in the Europa League. (Although for some reason in the states this year I couldn't seem to watch any Europa league games. I wonder if any one could. I heard good things about the refereeing experiment.) I still don't think all this technology talk (goal line or otherwise) is as simple as people make it out to be. I don't like it.

Imagine how good Ghana might have been if Essien was fit.

http://www.reuters.com/article/idUSTRE66A2B120100712 sad news even a week later :(

Italy's early exit is still the highlight of the cup.

And congratulations to Diego Forlan. He was great.

There was actually 14 yellow cards if you include the double yellow that led to heitinga's red. To put this in perspective, the most yellow cards ever before in a WC final was in 1986 when 6 yellow cards were given.
