Boxed, either you're interested or not. If you are, read up. If you aren't, stop posting silly questions with simply and easily accessed answers.

(Are you one of these kids who posts on web forums trying to get people to do your homework for you?)

Well apparently you don't have to be interested or not, since I'm only feeling slightly interested in one or two bits and pieces of it. :P So why bother reading through 4 pages of stuff that I don't care about and will need a thesaurus to understand =/ And at least explain why it's stupid instead of just randomly insulting the possibility. There's one leak, now they're putting a cap on it. Now there's another leak, I think it's not so terribly far-fetched that they might possibly put a cap on it.

Because you obviously don't understand the nature of the leak(s), or of the cap. If you did, you would realise your questions and the "not so far-fetched" logic and assumptions you've made about "capping the leak" are nonsensical.

See, you're asking us to do the work for you, work that ain't that hard. That's laziness, plain and simple—both in action and intellect. Not to mention disrespectful to both us and yourself. "Well, I don't really give a shit, but can you guys go out of your way and take the time of finding and explaining the answers to my questions for me, which I don't care much about anyway?" Pft.

For Akira, from syndicated cartoonist Nick Anderson, found in at least the Houston Chronicle and the Louisville Courier-Journal recently.

And just a few pages that come up on the first page of a Google "dispersants" search:
MSNBC; May 24, 2010: Oil dispersants an environmental ‘crapshoot’
Popular Science; May 28, 2010
NY Times; July 15, 2010: EPA Chief Calls for More Authority Over Dispersants
EPA on dispersants

The Center for Biological Diversity pages with a FAQ about dispersants and a Media highlights page.

These ideas didn't work either.

True it's lazy, but see, there you go again you could have just done the nice thing and explained (in one or two sentences) why it wouldn't work. But oh no, that's not how Phytotron works, he has to pick at every little thing you say in a minimum of 2 paragraphs and many disparaging remarks  and now you're here probably devising an essay that maybe on or two people are bored enough to read, and 0 of which probably care, when you could have easily said a few posts back:

"Boxed, that's a dumb idea because ________________________________________. Don't be so lazy next time."

And end of discussion!

Anyways I'm done with this topic until I have another (probably exceedingly stupid to you) question! Bye bye.

Once more, in much less time and effort than has been expended in this exchange, you could have done the simple, quick, and nice thing of simply reading up for yourself rather than trying to get others to do the work for you (and then giving them shit for not doing it; spoiled much?). It's not hard. Had you done that in the first place, it would have saved all this needless flap.

I'm curious, how does the media in other countries handle this issue? I feel like BP is doing a lot to cover up how the US news media is covering the topic. I've heard a lot about BP hiring local "forces" to stifle/drive away US reporters so the real truths don't get out.
