Yes, but in Team Bebop in Harlem the other night, Akira and I joined up and beat three other teams of them.

Re: keyboard settings
wow i'm late, but hey, why not share?
left binds: z and left arrow
right binds: x and right arrow
left glance: a
right glance: s
back glance: down arrow
toggle brake: left shift
Tripple binding: I press command (apple key on macs) left and command right to do triple binds in each direction (using a macro app). For example, command left = lll and command left + x = lllr. A lot of people consider macros lame or cheap, but I don't consider these to follow under that category.
I have various instachats all over, mostly for team chat. The are the keys: c, v, up arrow, 0 on numpad, delete key (not backspace),end key, and the entire numpad. Most often used instachats (Holing and abort) are placed on the up arrow and c key, respectively.

Turn right: Right arrow key, x
Turn left: Left arrow key, z
Glance right: Right shift key
Glance left: Left shift key
Glance back: Down arrow key
Brake: Space bar
All my instachats surround my turn keys, I changed it to this once I finally realized it's impossible to spam my team while in a tight spot without dying.

Don't hate the player, hate the entire clan.

LEFT: a, z, left , q(never used)
RIGHT: s, x, right
BRAKE: up, down
RIGHT: s, x, right
BRAKE: up, down
Re: keyboard settings
That's kind of clever, actually. I've considered that myself.chah wrote:All my instachats surround my turn keys, I changed it to this once I finally realized it's impossible to spam my team while in a tight spot without dying.
Re: keyboard settings
LEFT: Left arrow
RIGHT: Right arrow
DUCK: Down arrow
JUMP: Up arrow
TURBO: Space
And here's my actual ones.
Only modification since then is more chat buttons

Re: keyboard settings
I've noticed there are some players who are doing a kind of hybrid thing these days—single-binding most of the time, but pulling out the 180s when they get in a tight spot.

I know it's from several years ago, but I just couldn't help myself.

Re:
Heh, yeah. Shows how much things have changed that at the time there was still almost a sort of sense of shame in admitting it. I also later poked hang3r for advocating triple binding, still not widespread at that time. Then, less than a year later:
Hey, ideologies change with consideration. Single binding is wisdom!Phytotron wrote:Not anymore. I've decided to unbind them. I'm, like, a total rebel and stuff, you know. Fer sure.Oscilloscope wrote:• W and R for left and right db'ing (yes, I do it!)
