Moderators, streamers/commentators and subs can spectate.

Others can watch the stream or recording. =)

Who are the Moderators? That was my main question (if I could be mod ;)).

Edit: I am moderator in DS servers yet, so you would just have to op me in american servers. :)

Great matches, had lots of fun and I feel privileged that I got the chance to play.

I'm looking forward to a possible rematch (which I will not be organizing nor initiating :P ).

Big thanks to G5 and Gonzap who made this possible by providing servers one way or another!

eu eu 1122
usa usa 937
eu usa 2805
usa eu 2152

total eu 3927
total usa 3089

I read talk about ping yesterday so I added up each teams pings over the 4 matches
Looks like in these matches NA faired better 'away' in terms of ping
I'm not suggesting any relation to the gameplay & I wasn't there but I wanted to know & might as well post my 2 mins hard work on a calculator

I was there and I did see a big difference in the away games. My ping/connectivity was awful for both servers, (i have my own network issues) but it was almost unplayable on CT-USA when the server lag and my own lag got included. I also remember I wasn't the only one having lag issues in the EU server as well (from the EU side). I'm sure Texas (CT-USA) was good for them, but all Europeans were above 200 ping over there, while at the EU server, all NA was below 200. I don't believe that's fair.

The difference between a dedicated server and a VPS is also critical to being able to provide the capability to handle this as it wasn't just the ping's that was the issue. CT-USA is just a basic VPS and was at the same time running CTWF USA and that definitely doesn't help. On the other hand the EU server that was chosen was from the "DS Mega Fortress" machine which handles 10vs10 almost daily and quite reasonably too. I don't think nobody would disagree that the NA had an easier away than the EU did.

We started first in a EU server and that allowed the NA to know exactly what score to beat if it was to come to a tie breaker, it also allowed the NA to know exactly what they're up against and have their ping's reduced to help them even more. I take all factors into consideration, and things like this should be random and we could have used the IRC script to randomize it.

I consider it a draw and I can see why some might think of total points being the tie breaker as a simple way of determining who won, but I don't believe it properly justifies the victory. I think the total points was 348-388 to NA, which is just 40 points difference and considering the factors involved, I don't think that's much. (106-84, 112-98, 100-94, 106-36)

Solutions? I think either it's best to make it 6vs6 or make sure the server locations and specs are equal and fair. It would have been better if it was best of 3 matches on each server instead of first to 2. Allowing an extra 2 matches to be played in total. In the event of a draw (3-3) the highest total points could then decide where the final (single) match would be played.

None of these were properly set out and that's why we're here. Titan, you played well, but you seriously should have just finished properly what you started or never have posted anything till things were agreed on. I know you wanted to keep things moving, but sometimes it does harm than good to rush things..
