Does anyone read my posts? Anyways...

One last note for server owners; unless someone can come up with a better idea, let's coordinate the server names like this:

Ladle 20 (Crazy Tronners Server 1)
Ladle 20 (Crazy Tronners Server 2)
Ladle 20 (¦×¦ Server)
Ladle 20 (Twisted Rats Server)
Ladle 20 (PinkTomato's Server)
Ladle 20 (Z-Man's Server)
Ladle 20 (Fortress Garden)
Ladle 20 (The Server Pharm)

The code is:

Code: Select all

0x7fff7fLadle 20 0xff7f7f(0x7f7fffServer Name0xff7f7f)

You've got my consent, durka, if that's any consolation ;)

I was thinking how a newsletter or something could be good for the ladle; maybe just an email two weeks prior to every ladle with all the things people want changed, and maybe some misc info about teams still searching for members or whatever. Not everyone bothers to read the forums every day to keep up with all the changes, but I think there's definitely some interest in which settings have changed since the last time. We would also get a better picture of what most people want (perhaps with something like the deliberatorium for people to see what kind of arguments have already taken place), and for example in this instance durka's change would've been better justified (since he could say 'well you all knew this change was coming, and you didnt bother to complain' instead of everyone blaming him for doing something stupid 'behind their backs')

Lets see how the 6vs6 Ladle goes down this time but i was thinking it might keep things interesting if we alternate 6vs6 & 8vs8 every Ladle...

Rather than alternating, we should make that another voting option, like 2v2 conq.

compguygene wrote:I have no idea What the Wild West =Fortress= server is being used for...it just sits there. I keep telling the Ww fortress players not to go there because the settings are so out of date. This is why I am hosting the Wild West =Fortress Practice Server=. When I catch my players there, I chase them out!
you know, its not a problem to change the ww fort server to whatever settings we need it to be. but the ladle settings are changing all the time. if we need to change fortress settings all that is needed is a PM to manta and he will change them.
compguygene wrote:Unfortunatly, I had to set up that server with a binary that does not have Armathentication enabled because some of my players, and Destiny just aren't quite there yet. But, I want them to be able to admin a practice.
as far as the armathentication goes, its not that i'm not there yet, its that i wasn't given any admin privs in your server... that didn't happen until last week when we were all practicing. how am i supposed to "be there" if i can't log in to kick non players and invite people to my team and all the other stuff people expect me to do if i'm in the server. being logged in through auth isn't that much different. once you are signed in all the commands work the same way. i'm pretty good with the commands, esp. those pertaining to a competition...

i know how to set auth up for the wild west servers without having the auth go through these forums since manta doesn't want to do it that way. he has given me the blessing to set them up with auth finally. the problem for me is simply time. i just don't have time yet to set up auth in our servers, but i will eventually, probably this summer.

It actually wasn't changed at all. What happened was that the times you saw were assuming we had 32 teams, which meant we would need an extra, earlier round then normal (since it's already pretty late for Europeans). Since we only have 16 teams and not 32, that extra round isn't needed, so the start time is back to normal. Sorry if that caused any confusion.

Apparently flex took his team (I think it was only him) off of the challenge board. So Manic Miners gets a bye in the first round.

P.S. how do you edit the bracket?

Click edit and scroll down to the "Templates used on this page" section.

Also let me bump this up:
kyle wrote:Another thing that would be helpful is when teams sign up (or within the week before the ladle the team leader leaves their global ID on the team signup list. this way server admins are able to give admin access to each of the teams. Concord was very lucky today to find me and have me able to give him admin on Crazy Tronners server.
