Maybe it's looking in the wrong directory?

Ok, so this is what I did and the build succeeded...but I'm pretty sure what I did was "wrong."
Error Message wrote:Compiling /Users/Justin/Desktop/0.2.8/MacOS/../src/engine/ePlayer.cpp (1 error)
- error: nKrawallPrivate.cpp: No such file or directory
So, I then opened up ePlayer.cpp and I saw this:
ePlayer.cpp wrote:[...]
#include "nAuthentication.h"
#include "nKrawallPrivate.cpp"
- error: nKrawallPrivate.cpp: No such file or directory
#include "tDirectories.h"
[...]
Basically, I just deleted the line that said:

Code: Select all

#include "nKrawallPrivate.cpp"
The build succeeded, but I'm not very optimistic about the Authentication system working well on the client :\/

Did I completely fcuk up the client?

So I take that as I did the right thing? :D

A side note: how come it is armagetronad-nil.macosx-universal.dmg instead of armagetronad-0.2.8_alpha20080907.macosx-universal.dmg

And on the main screen is shows up as Armagetron Advanced v instead of Armagetron Advanced v0.2.8_alpha20080907

Yes, looks like you did the right thing :)

The version is usually only inserted when you do a regular source tarball build using the automake stuff. It's the same way for the Windows version, I just can't be arsed to do X different scripts for that stuff.

From my client, when I go to host a LAN game or Internet game, I get that bug which makes my player's name disappear.

EDIT: Side note: while trying to compile from the trunk I get like 14 different errors. I won't waste my time pasting them here, but there's a lotta failures.

What's the status on this branch? It had been sitting in beta and jumped back to alphas. Are there some outstanding bugs?
