To everyone else, we did a different technique this year. Nominees were chosen by voters themselves. Anyone that someone voted for was a nominee, anyone that no one voted for was not a nominee.

Thirdly, the categories that were originally posted but were not in this most recent nomination post still exist.

I honestly don't think I've ever seen poke play center or attacker. Why wouldn't potter be on best attackers

Why am I listed twice for most improved? And what are the qualifications for "Rookie of The Year?"

Edit: Also, how can you be listed for rookie of the year AND most improved? Wouldn't rookie mean first year or so of playing? So they're already supposed to be improving since they're relatively new... Most improved would be someone who's been playing for awhile and REALLY improved... Just a thought there.

@MB: Because we were told to only nominate the best individual player, not the best players. I nominated Woned for best center, simply because he's better than you from my experience.

Some of the comments by you and zap are exaggerating - most people here think that the tronnies are mainly a CT thing and mocked them for that, and predicted that you'll complain here if you don't get nominated - and you do just that.
There are lots of good players who don't like fortress and sumo - I haven't nominated any of those and I completely skipped the WST bit because I haven't taken part in any recent WST tournament.
I think that it should also be part of a good player's virtues that he's modest enough not to nominate himself, and not feeling embarrassed if he's not nominated. After all, the tronnies aren't very significant and all of your complaints possibly backfire. You're already nominated in several other (equally meaningless) categories so I don't see why this seriously has to be discussed.

Don't misunderstand this, it's usually nice to get a tronny (unless the category isn't very clear and could be interpreted as something that is meant to put someone down, as in "needs to be punched in the face") - but it doesn't mean that the community hates you. Just that the nominations are completely subjective. Maybe next year you can pick yourself in every category and nobody will complain.
I don't know who else was asked to nominate but I guess they did it in a similar way and didn't have dlh's statistics to determine a clear winner.

We originally had qualifications for all of these categories, but then decided to just let the voters choose the nominees. So these categories just mean what the voters took them to mean. Of course, there will be a little editing of the nominees for reasons like those elmo mentioned, but the nominees and the winners are chosen almost entirely by the voters.

This runs in direct contrast with last year, when the secret committee chose the nominees and then the voters voted for the winner(s).
After all of this is over, we're gonna look over the results of both years and then see which way works best.

@over I don't see any problem with someone being both rookie of the year and most improved. If a rookie improves way faster than a normal rookie, they could be chosen for both awards. Also, we will delete the double counting of your name.

@bmg Flowers is the new name for the nicest tronner category. That was made clear in the pm sent to voters.

1st There are times when i think you dont make sense at all, to be honest it doesnt seem right of what i have offered to the community to be listed as someone who annoys. I barely fight with anyone. As for the people who think that CT is the clan that runs the tronny i doubt it is true as a matter of fact i know enough about who are involved into this but i am not gonna mention names nor i am trying to throw a scene, you can guys rest and be assured that CTers are not that involved in this i am quite certain every clan/team is as much as CT is involved.

If it's really ruled by CTers im quite certain I would have knew about it. But it isn't. If you are saying that individual skills is more important to be as a center player it doesnt make sense because why not FOFO isn't on the list ? why not Liz ? I don't even recall seeing poke and Dreadlord playing much at center.

2nd objection which i have seen is that why is slash and chrisd are even listed in most addict tronners when they are not ?

3rd why isn't DrHouse nominated as best defenders ? and also why not Appa included ? why not Kult aka Hell-lo ?

4th Best Sumoer: Xyron, RudyCan’tFail, wap, slov, Noodles, Concord ... really ? rudy has been inactive for atleast 6 months , so is Slov and i dont remember seeing concord actually playing sumo that often he is more of a fort oriental than sumo, Why dont you guys add Liz and Envy ? why not Dreadlord ? why not Gazalle? why not Potter? why not Poke? why not Cody ?

Sorry if i seem to be pushy but as 1 of the most addicted players i have seen enough from both sumo and fort players to judge and that is my opinion.

P.s. This method obviously sucks. The people listed dont even make sense. Two noobs from una getting nominations for best sweeper and inactive, come on. This is obviously a bad technique.
