Re: What are you listening to right now?
Yeah, I've been familiar with them practically since their beginning (there used to be a lot of musical connections between Louisville and Chicago), have a few albums. I do like them, particularly from a technical side, but I rarely listen to them because the feel ain't really my thing. It's just so...breezy, ya know.Word wrote:If you like the Sea and Cake, check out their solo work (Sam Prekop especially).
EDIT: Mainly just changed the tone of something.

So, coincidentally I won a pair of free tickets to a The Sea and the Cake concert but...didn't check my email in time. ****

So, poke was here today and we played random stuff on various instruments. This song was fun, so I recorded it. Master Poke on drums and me trying to keep up on the piano
I'm not much for taking pictures; this is much better to me - a fun memory that I'll always cherish.
I've known some of you guys years longer than I've known my closest "real life" friends, and this was my first "real life" encounter with any of you. It was a good day. If anyone else is nearby later, you're welcome to stop by my place and say hello

The only way I can imagine myself doing that is the Keyser-Soze-way. Or I'll find out where you live, stalk you and sit down a few tables away from you next time you visit a restaurant with Lizmatic, then shout PRUUUUUUUUU and run away, only leaving a bill with a recognizer doodle on it. (Meanwhile, Eggman finds the PRU cave thanks to a few clues I gave him, then proceeds to lead the clan to its first ladle win, after taking up the identity of, er, Eggman). Don't forget, once I'm an established archaeologist I could write a book claiming that some Viking's gold treasure can be found under your lawn.I've known some of you guys years longer than I've known my closest "real life" friends, and this was my first "real life" encounter with any of you. #throwbacktuesday as they say (or is it thursday? who cares)
the soundcloud autoplay function, which usually annoys the crap out of me, had me end up on this track. Good ol' Fipp played acoustic guitar and sang.
Really good, if you ask me. Production could be done much better, naturally. But for what it is - something we threw together - it's a decent cover.
Okay, that's all for this time
