btw, i posted this on VPF and it seemed it was all users and nobody who actually had a clue. nobody even dared to attempt a solution.
if anybody figures out a way to save our efforts on HDD, please post on it. it disturbs me a little that our efforts will one day most likely be lost because the fanta info server will be reset.

any format at all would be beautiful if it functioned without needing to be connected to the net. that's the key. here's the things i tried without success:
1 - save as a single .swf app (replace the portion that says "news.asf" with "main.swf" to get it into this mode)
2 - save as a complete web archive .mht file
3 - save as web page complete, meaning the .html header page and the related subfolder
who has the skill to complete this mission? anyone...?
