I agree with you guys, new players just aren't of the caliber of the old ones, and sometimes they seem content with just grinding and and no open game. They forget that the there is more grid than wall.

Give new guys a break guys, they need to learn just like we have. When I first started i played on crowmans server, and won all the time there and then went on goshdarn and lost easily to players the likes of RAM, Roadkill and War Monkey, and I knew I had to learn a lot more. So I did. Came back and was better and was able to win a few. We all start somewhere :)

The reason for the grinding-is-god-mentality might be the way they 'grew up', when I started playing, there were almost only servers with unlimited wall length: someone who grinded alot was quickly stuck. But 'nowadays', on the darn(ish) servers it doesnt matter if you get stuck, make a small maze and you're out in a minute.

Also, trapping(which is imho takes up the biggest part of 'open game' play) is alot less viable, espescially since the arrival of double key binding.

They should all play on nixda for a couple of days, that will teach them! ;)

This is so true. It's all about doing double binded 180s near the outside wall. That's their only move.

There is no list as of now this is just helping to determine what a list may be someday, and i will stick up for digital logic he is better than most and extremly fun to play with sine he is good and doesn't run, that is when the real rounds start.

All the good players don't run. I suppose that could be a criteria. What other criteria should there be ?
