help! - no user.cfg - want "fun" name

hey, i was wondering how to make a cool anme for armagetron like this: ¡LØL!·Légît ..... soemoen else had tryed to help me before but nothing seemed to work because i didnt have a VAR folder or user.cfg file or a application data file, so if anyone knows anything to help me with this let me kno, PM me. thanks.

Someone please help him. He doesn't have a user.cfg file or var folder in any Armgetron folder on his computer. I tried to help him but coudn't figure it out. I know on a mac it's easy to make, but on a PC you have to edit the user.cfg file, but there is no user.cfg file on his computer. He even tried to search for it on his computer, but still no solution. PLEASE SOMEONE HELP HIM!!!

If he's using version 0.3.0 the file is called user_3_0.cfg.

Legit: how about searching for just user.

Or for files that contain PLAYER_1, as that's the config entry you're wanting to edit.

i have same problem: no "user.cfg" file and no "var" map on version 0.2.8.2.1 for win XP.
all was fine till i started messing with the display modes of the game. since i have changed the resolution to the highest possible setting, my monitor goes to sleep when i tryto run the game (the power led of my monitor changes color to the standby state). i tried deleting all armagetron files and reinstalled it a couple of times but with no succes. i was hoping the cfg file would be my rescue but, as i said, i cant find it.

pls help, cuz i wanna start feeding my growing addiction for this game as fast as possible,

Use the windows search feature to search for a file named user.cfg. You have to find the option to tell it to search hidden files and directories too.

now it did find the file,
deleted it,
