Capture The Flag (Zone)

Designed a level that creates new, exciting, and challenging Armagetron game play? Or maybe just something funky. Put it right here.

Capture The Flag (Zone)

Post by -{E}- pyroto »

i had this idea while at paintballing

y doesent some 1 make a capture the flag on tron?

map:random with the flag in the middle

the aim of the game is to have the flag at the end of the round
the flag(zone) stiks to the person that drives though it
and they drop it wen dumped and the flag stays in that spot

well thats my idea critisize it all u want but i think its pretty cool
i will neva be able to make somink like this

but i was thinking it coud be a sty like styball and pigsty?

I don't know much about map making, but I think there might be a way of doing this. In styball there is a zone that when a player's cycle hit's it, it moves. I'm sure groundpig could make it so when a player's cycle touches the zone, it would stick to that player's cycle. The only problem is that the zone (flag) needs to be small enough so that only one person could really drive through it, but not too small where it's too hard to get. If it's too big, then what happens if more than one person is in the zone. Now when that person has the flag and is going back to their zone, there needs to be a code that says that when the person with the flag crosses through their teams zone, the round is over. I certainly don't know how to do these things, but the brilliant groundpig might know how.

If the zone was larger you could have it be that if the other person was driving faster the flag then stuck to them.

You could use the zone V2 settings to make it so if you enter the zone you get lets just say 5 points. You could set the settings_dedicated so that no points will be given for anything else. Then have fortress zones on each teams's side if someone conquers it without the points nothing would happen if you die you lose the 5 points. It would be low tech, but it would work.
