win the Tronic Ladle!

Post by 2020 »

no-one won the Spoon...
but this time
one team is going to win the Tronic Ladle
on Sat 1st July
(even if only one team turns up!)

go to
http://wiki.armagetronad.net/index.php/LADLE_team-lists
to set up your team

go to
http://wiki.armagetronad.net/index.php/THE_LADLE
if you want to design a framework for how to manage the tournament

please note
i have designed one framework to play the tournament over a few hours
http://wiki.armagetronad.net/index.php/One-day_ladle
and invitations are out for alternatives...
the final framework which we shall go with
will be decided a week before the Ladle begins
so
we have just less than a month to design alternatives...

I tried our match against AW, but it failed three times (first time AW cancelled it, second time i wasn't there and MBC failed to show up, third time it looks like noone of AW knew about it) and now Self_Destructo and spidey are gone, so we can't really play the final :(

I say we just give it to team Something Something, they played most games and won most games too, so we can finally say that the spoon is officially over.

The game is at 8pm BST / 7pm GMT i believeso would clash quite badly for anyone who team is in it.

ok
i've changed it to 9pm gmt
though a few supporters may be under the influence
even if they did turn up after the game...

besides
we may only ever get a few teams
which may allow us to postpone it a further few hours...

not too optimistic about getting a team together for it judging by the current sign up rate so will probably put my name in the pool thing.

hmm is the date still set for july 1st? Because one of the reasons I think the spoon did as well as it did was the date, there weren't any major holidays(that I am aware of), most people didnt have exams untill after the set dates, and because it mostly wasn't that nice out yet. Anyway july 1st is Canada day here so you can probly count most canadians out, and july 1st is also middle of summer so alot of people won't be on their computer. I'd be all for it, in say september or october, sometime in the fall but in the summer tron isnt that high on my list of priorities.
