Maybe if there is someone else who'd be willing to spend a lot of time playing the game (with the latest versions of course) that wouldn't mind asking a lot of questions, getting public opinion on the game...

wohoo im off the list and a good thing too
cause i seem to be taking the last C++ class here and its the make or break class of my entire life
i am guarnteed 10 or more hours of hw every week (one programming project and one out of book hw assignment)
all of which is only worth 30% of my grade (prey shakes his head)
the other 70% is made up of ridiculously hard exams (3 of them)

oh and it gets better my teacher told me quite a few times during the quarter the passing grade will be below 60% due to the difficulty of his tests :o
someone please kill me now (i also got three other classes on top of this, one of which is organic chem)

I've "c" and C++ skills
no experience using cvs.... but im sure not difficult to learn
I havent used a debugger in linux... need to learn
have compiled programs on linux but have not written real programs on it
my experience to date has been with Borland c++ and Builder etc
(self taught).

This is offcourse if we use use *nix as a basis? OR will we use something else? OR perhaps develop in parallel on diff platforms ? All these things need to be thought about

I have great analytical skills, problem solving skills and a good programmer. What I'm trying to say is that once the basic setup is done i can help develop areas of the game. Program advisor is fine with me with a bit of developing on the side.

Great subby, we will be working in Windows in addition to open source systems, so that'll work out fine.

I'll edit the above post so that you are a developer too.

I've used Borland and I love it. I purchased Borland C++ Builder when it first came in 1996 or so. Of course, it's outdated now.
