New recognizer & questions

Post by SuPeRTaRD »

for anyone who missed it

http://forums.armagetronad.net/download.php?id=2411

it has a different chestplate now, (glows color of trail) cuz some graphics cards couldnt display the way i mapped it b4,..

(oh, and if you've never seen it, the edges of every peice of the body glow the color of your trail too)

I changed the axis/grip of the model to between the feet,.. just because..

I can also put a ring around its base.. or a ring of razor blades, or 2 rings a upper/lower ring for zone reasons.. or... whatever,.. if any devs want to try to code one in the middle of a death zone or... blah

if anyone hasnt seen it yet, its worth a look!

Hi,

It is very nice!

I dont think you need to do any "zone" extra to the model. The way I see it, when models will be used as zones, either they will stand "alone", or the zone will need to be generated independantly, for example because it could be the usual circle or a different coloration of the floor where the zone is.

Super model. Thanks a lot for your effort!

Need more free time to code nice support for models as zone representation... and the new complete support of zone... and floor coloration like Your_mom presented... and....
Canis meus id comedit.

i have tweaked the edges a bit thinner, at least i hope thats the version i updated, will look at it tomorrow & make sure its the thinner edge one..

i cant get them much thinner prolly.. & even everywhere, mebbe i guess.. if everyone wanted them thinner.. right now its less than a pixel on the bmp, thats showing on the mesh.. (that glows)

-------
update: yes, due to the way some peices are really skinny & really long,.. i cant make the lines much smaller... the texture is already stretched alot in some places, & thats about the best i can do at getting all the glowing edges nearly the same width..
