I enjoyed trying to break up solid ice on our sidewalks yesterday. I got about a four feet radius in half an hour and had to give up.

But you're on the southern hemisphere. That's not fair in the short term.

Y'all know that the southern hemisphere has more extreme summers and winters, right? So when we're living it up in our beautful Texas summers, poor subby'll be freezing his balls off in ways we don't see up north.
Has something to do with the offset of the earth's elliptical orbit, the southern hemisphere is closer to the sun in their summer than we are in ours, and farther in their winter than we are in ours.

To some degree (no pun intended) this is offcourse true on average but the earth wasn't greated averagely :0 So the winter in Melbourne is such that the average mid winter temperature MAx is 14 deg c (57F) while we almost never ever ever get snow. So suck sh*t you guys live in cold nah nahnah nah nah
hehe
All in good Xmass spirit, Happy Xmass if i don't get to say so later....
cheers

Things have been unusally warm here, jumping between -8C and 3C (roughly) the last month or two... Really quite odd...
