Server: In Limbo

Post by dlh »

Ok, there is nothing classic about the settings, but my dedicated server is up and running and its called nemo's International Lag. Its running rc4 as of me posting this.

Its high rubber, small arena, short walls_length, and your speed comes only from the negative cycle_brake value.

My server will be running full-time now. It is now called "In Limbo".

Unlike my other temporary servers this one will be serious (no insane settings).

Edit: It also is on a faster machine and a faster connection.

Yes, top drawer settings, im glad there is no extream amount of double-backs, yet a good amount of rubber.

I like it fairly well. The center message (or should it now be called "lower third message") is amusing, though I can accomplish more than the two 180s 'some guy' was able. The rubber seems to arbitrarily give way sometimes. I don't know whether this is related to 0.2.8[whatever], your settings, or is just my perception. Not a big deal, but a consistent, predictable feel might be preferable. Otherwise, good show. :)

Some stats (which will be on a nice easy to read website soon, maybe some pretty graphs too)

I changed some settings. Delay has been changed from 0.035 to 0.045, rubber from 6.5 to 2.5, accel has been raised some, and so has cycle_speed.

nemo did you take the server down? The settings where/are fun. It was hard to get people to play there however. If you are taking down the server(even if your not) would you mind posting the settings?

I'll try to get the settings to you. Right now the server is down but it will be running again soon.

In Limbo is running again.

Please give me any settings suggestions.
