Server Cap
After doing a whole bunch of tests, Im going to cut down the number of clients from 9 to 7. much less lag that way.
You know what, im not sure, i highly doubt that spectators will be affect it too much, but it very well could.
Sorry Kamp I never actuallly expect the server to fill like it has been doing the past three weeks, i didn't think anyone liked the server cept for super new commers and the lobster mobsters.
Edit: Morons, Morons love to make my life miserable in there too.

May as well allow them to chat, then, and also be subject to kicks. Oh, and let it be known that the server has a spectator, at the least.z-man wrote:Yes. The client limit is primarily intended to limit bandwith requirements, and a spectator uses up almost as much bandwidth as a real player. Spectators use less CPU power, though.iceman wrote:Question: do spectators affect client limit ?
They can't chat: A spectator is not a player, it is just a connected client. It would be possible to let them chat, but they could not be silenced.
They can be kicked by the server administrator by their client ID.
From the server browser, you can see how many spectators are online by counting the number of players and subtracting it from the reported number of users.
A spectator really is just a client with zero players on it. It never says "I'm a spectator", it just never says "Here's my player". It's sort of a hack. This makes it difficult do do anything special with them. Sorry.
