The first error perhaps; it's not my build. What version (filename) was it exactly?Tank Program wrote:Looks like the (installer? zip?) isn't working properly...
The beta2 problem seems to be a genuine runtime error; the var directory it is talking about is supposed to be created by the program itself, and something goes wrong there. BlondeKiller: Does the real beta2 (with new SDL) work ok? The data folder is supposed to be in your personal application directory in "C:\Settings and Documents\<user name>\Application Settings" or similar, it differs from language to language and Windows version to windows version. Just search for a folder called "armagetron" that's not where you installed it, that's the one.
Some more questions: What version of Windows is it? Is Windows and/or AA on a NTFS partition? As who did (admin or user) you instal AA and as who are you trying to play?

the 1st time i tried 2.8 beta(1st version), the exe didn't work, but the zip did. After a few days though i deleted it and stuck to 2.7. Now i tried to get 2.8 again (beta 2) but it never worked, so i deleted the armagetron folder inz-man wrote:The first error perhaps; it's not my build.
