Man... This poor place is looking like a ghost town.
Everyone moved on it seems.

Re: Activity? :(
My heart aches every time i open up the app and see none of the people i grew up with while playing this game.

Yeah it's a real bummer. I wish I could say I moved on to other games and communities, but I haven't. I'm just real damn busy all the time. I miss my old life! (and you guys)
Re: Activity? :(
I think quite a few of us still care a lot about this game and its community even if we don't play it much any more (for various reasons). I'm still optimistic that one day it will make a come back, even if changes will need to be made for this to happen.
I haven't moved to any other games myself either, I just have less time and also the client doesn't work at the moment on my OS, which kinda messes things up.

Good grief. Why are you so in love with BSD again?Monkey wrote:...lso the client doesn't work at the moment on my OS...

At least we are all still checking in here from time to time.

Yeah we are and hopefully that won't stop.Word wrote:At least we are all still checking in here from time to time.

Ok, for those that get bored easily, look away now...aP|Nelg wrote:I ran freebsd for a while on a spare tower I had...now I'm installing debian...oops!
So, the BSDs aren't like Linux, where distro's share a standard base or at least some utilities. FreeBSD, OpenBSD and NetBSD (the three main BSDs) differ throughout more of the operating system components, despite being forked, 20+ years ago, from pretty much the same operating system(s). They diverge even more as time passes, as does Linux I suppose.
I used Linux as my main OS for 8 years and now OpenBSD for 9 years so far. Am I so in love with it? Not quite yet. OpenBSD is the hare where FreeBSD and Linux are the tortoises, at least I'm hoping. I have issues with it but it is getting better.
I'm in the mood for a friendly software flame war...umm...I mean discussion. I'll start a thread.

Haven't found a community as good yet. All I found is toxicity and hate.

Re: Activity? :(
Been dealing with my own mental health crap.v
On the flip side, I finally have a laptop that can run the game decently, I just need to figure out how to upgrade it to a 64-bit OS from the 32-bit OS that was on the hard drive I put in it.

It feels weird to come back and still see names I recognize after several years seems like the forums aren't completely dead at least

Re: Activity? :(
Logged in tonight for the first time in who knows how long to see 0 players online. I always liked to think it still raged on. So many years playing this game on a nightly basis. Not sure when I first started playing, but it was definitely quite a bit before I joined the forums. So many laughs and good conversations. Stupid instachats and bad finger-eye coordinated deaths... I have never been part of a community like this since either and really admire all the efforts of so many talented people who made it a great game and community. I truly hope everyone out there is doing well and has as many fond memories as I do <3
