I don't think he has admin, so I don't know how he got the ips, but he could correctly say mine anyway.

IP's are logged every time you join a server. You probably just joined a server he has file access to. I can do the same thing ...

Your IP isn't really meant to be private, and there's not much he's going to do with it.

They do by default unless you intentionally block it from doing so. So, basically every server does. (ladderlog.txt)

sty+ct+ap requires you to have LADDERLOG_ENABLED on as well as LADDERLOG_WRITE_ALL...ridiculous double command, I intend to remove the need to activate both. Just stick with the classic LADDERLOG_WRITE_ALL

You can easily get almost all player IPs by setting up a server and listening to the pings clients send it every time they activate the server browser. We have paranoia settings for those who don't want to expose their IP like that to everyone, just to the servers they actually play on.

Eh, it's not like they'd be able to link it to you without the other logs. I don't think that really counts too much unless for some reason they can use a list of random users' IPs, which is very unlikely.

For the sake of edification, rather than obliquely referring to them, could you specify what and where be them settings?

Certainly, I did not remember them from the top of my head just then and didn't have time to look it up. The setting is
BROWSER_QUERY_FILTER
Its values:
0: The default, all servers are pinged by your client
1: Opt out: Servers you have given a negative score bias (with the - key) are not pinged directly
2: Opt in: Only servers with positive score bias (+) are pinged
3. Manual: No servers are pinged, you need to do it yourself with 'p'
Servers that are not automatically pinged will be shown with outdated information.

I do intentionally disable logging. I can smell an asshat from a mile away, thier ip isnt why they reek.

My IDS is much better at handling idiots than tron is. I dont see why tron even bothers. Ignore it, and they will learn.
