ok thanks installed it. It looks awful LOL

I think it is better if I stream on normal version, anyway I got the 60fps bug with that 0.4. I can still have a cockpit for streaming in 0.2.8. Also it promotes the official version, for new players i think it is the best.

We'll make a speed test run tomorrow at 21pm GMT. Let's meet on #armagetron.tourneys to discuss about that. I have an idea about some graphic design to add (very small stuff) to make a complete environment that look good :)

60fps "bug"? You sure you don't have vsync enabled? Also there's nothing wrong with 60fps for stream, especially when it's stable. You could talk to people to sort out this bug if it really is. It's your stream but you have the opportunity to make it look a lot better with 0.4

Anyways curious to see how this works out, which channel are you streaming on tomorrow?

No vsync. I got a bug on my mac when I full screen it switches sometimes to 60fps and turns are delayed instead of 600fps.

if you use quartz debug you can manually disable vsync.

but pretty sure twitch streams don't go any higher than 60fps anyway.

my screen also doesn't I guess. It is just about the smooth rendering.

Ok we tested, the video quality is ok and seen by people in USA. It should be fine.

Now I got to work on the sound entry to be able to get some commentators.

Random question, how about music ? Music enthusiast please tell me if I can have some music during the stream (form you so it is legal?) and we'll push up the sound in-between matches for short breaks and when there is just nothing going on (i.e. : no aftermath commentary).

I'm also seeking for commentators. Concord proposed to, but I think it is nice if someone duo with him. Last but not least, a female voice would tremendously raise awareness around Ladle (unfortunately internet is like this).

We could even create a frame on the bottom of the screen with some informations and some cool design and messages showing. But it need work and I need help on all that.

You can get free music from jamendo.

Some are under a free/libre licence, as armagetron is (by and by sa). Some are under free/gratis (non-libre) licences, unlike armagetron (the ones with NC or ND).

It would be great to have a box indicating who's speaking (eg: a list of speakers and when someone speaks, his/her name gets highlited, like what we can have in mumble).
