Lightfoot Hosting; terminated freeloaders, maybe shutdown

Post by Luke-Jr »

I've terminated service on multiple servers who were using me for hosting and haven't paid their bills in over a year.
If nobody cares enough to keep their servers, I'll probably just shutdown Lightfoot Hosting entirely in the coming month to eliminate some unnecessary recurring costs for the servers (and more importantly, free up the time I spend keeping them secure/up to date).
I'm willing to entertain any interested parties who might want to take over the hosting service - there are essentially zero paying customers at this point, but maybe my framework/code for it can come in useful to someone who wants to start.
Until I cancel the low-ping servers, those might be useful too.

If you want to take over someone else's server who was terminated for non-payment, that's an option too.

What sort of equipment are these servers running on?

Nothing heavy, an old dual-P4 server with 1 GB RAM.
It's really the internet connection that makes it good.

Nothing of value was lost. Ive been sad youve been trying to monetize tron for your own personal gain for some time now.

I had to ask you twice for you to update it.

Here is a post from when I didn't have a clue, and was paying for one of your servers, just look at what "dlh" says.
Just saying, you obviously don't keep them up to date lol.

If my server is one of the ones you mean that aren't being paid for then just take it down, I've not used it since I stopped paying, I assumed it would be down by now tbh.

I have thought about this and if you could PM the monthly cost of maintaining the connection, I might just consider taking this over.

Insomnia's Servers have been up for a couple years reliably and offers an incredible control panel that is molded to anyone's needs. They have impressive prices and dependable customer support that are just as passionate about upgrading their site as they did when they first started.

Sorry if this was an inappropriate time to post this, but it seems relevant.
