Looking for the OLD GUYS!
Well this is a blast from the past!
I was going through my backup drives and found an archive titled "ARMA STUFF" so I decided to drop by and see whats been going on since I took a REALLY long break.
How many of the old crew still linger around this place?
AND
Would it be worth it for me to try to rebuild my servers based on some old configs i dusted off in that old archive?
Hope to hear from some of those old friends from way back when.

It's never too late to start with arma again
Hey seeker, some are still around.

Hey Seeker.
Good to see some of the original players coming back; I don't think though that I was around when you were playing, I started in late 2006. Note that I too took a long break from Arma (about 4 years) and came back to it.

Good to see some friendly faces! I look forward to knocking the rust off and seeing if I can still hang with the big dogs on the grid.

Fortress and Sumo are the main (and best) game modes of this age, I don't even know if they were about when you played. However, given a chance, you may just like them.

Re: Looking for the OLD GUYS!
Man, if you have old configuration files, post them here so we can get them into the wiki. It would also help to know which version of arma-dedicated the cfgs were for. Old server configs are a great source of inspiration, and although the community is pretty small now and players rarely stray from the half dozen popular servers it is fun to jump into a retro server now and then.Seeker wrote:Would it be worth it for me to try to rebuild my servers based on some old configs i dusted off in that old archive?

Yea, fortress and sumo were brought out when I was around. They are alright, but I still like classic play the most.
Misery! Now I remember that name well. Good to see ya.

I had to quadruple check the post date to make sure this wasn't necro'd. It's been forever since I've seen you two (Seeker, Misery) on the grid.
