Awesome! Nice to see a tournament for one of the game modes that's not really popular(at least as far as forums discussion goes). Not sure how everyone who plays fast track will see this though, guess you'll have to advertise a lot in the servers. The date is March 29-30, does that mean it runs 2 days?

I don't play fast track but it has a lot of rubber if I'm remembering correctly.
I think he means when you have like 100 rubber left and BOOM, you die, instantly, for no apparent reason (insta)
If I'm right, I don't know why they count, then don't count, they should always count, you're just unlucky if it happens to you.


No offence or anything but I can see this tourney being on the fast track (excuse the pun) to the bottom of the who gives a crap pile.
It has 32 slots, I don't even think that game type has 12 players, never mind 32.

Sorry to be negative but I really don't even see anyone signing up, unless you do what Nanu says and advertise on servers, as in making it the message_of_day, in a few servers with a link to the sign up page, but even at that...

Speaking of links in game, will we ever see a day where they are clickable? It'd be a lot easier for things like this for players who don't check forums (that's a lot of players) to simply click the link on round_console_message, or whatever and be taken there.

That is also what is an insta to me. But it almost never happen, it could not even happen once in the whole tournament, so why have they such an importance here ? Thats what I don't understand and thats why I ask for his definition of insta, to be sure we mean the same.

Yeah, if it's what we think it is then there's definitely too much emphasis on it.
Either he means something different, or it happens a lot more often in fast track (maybe because it's so fast)
I hardly ever see it happen either.

well, I meant no chatting during gameplay. Only because I think that could distract someone and give the opponent the advantage if like they spam or something. and Instas are like where you die fast, instantly. There's actually a technique where you go head on perfectly with the other player and they have a higher speed you will insta them. It might sound like Bull but it actually works. It will be a 2 day event, seems reasonable for the rounds. I see atleast 32 players joining, I see it could work because it has cash prizes, so yeah XD and i will advertise it on servers:o the whole reason im doing this is to bring people back to fasttrack.

You can't say 29 players all suck because they never made top 3

Anyway, a better prize than cash would be moderator rights, no? Well... it wouldn't be if the cash prize was more than $10 for first place.
I say this because I'd pay $10 to not have to play in the tourney (jokes)

In all seriousness though mod/admin rights is a better prize, that would keep players there, $10 is only gonna make them play the tourney and look out for more tourneys with cash prizes. Doesn't mean they'll play just for fun any other time.

Well instas are a common thing in the fast track world, just as some have pointed out.
I'd like to take part of this, sounds fun, but rules are a bit harsh.
