Can someone recommend good dvd making software?
It has to be able to make custom menus, custom backgrounds/music.
Everywhere I check online someone says that a different one is best, but I'd prefer this community's opinion, so's I don't waste my money.
Scratch ConvertXtoDVD, and DVD Cloner.
DVD making software?
Re: DVD making software?
I'm not sure which operating system you are using, but two great ones are Bombono DVD and DVD Styler. I personally prefer Bombono DVD, but you must pay for the full version in Windows (it works great and creates very good custom menus in Linux). DVD Styler might give you another option or two, but it is harder to work with. I would recommend you try both and see which you like better.
Re: DVD making software?
I have Windows 7.
I ended up coming across one whilst waiting on reply. It's called "Nero", and it does everything I need it to do, but I will take note of those ones and try them later, see if they're any better. Thanks

Nero sucks.
Tbh, I've never had a problem with the program that got bundled with Windows. Does everything you really need, at a reasonable pace. The templates are also fairly good for a free program (From Microsoft et al)

If you mean Windows DVD maker, it takes sooooooooo long to convert video. I've never liked it (although I do like the templates)

Re: DVD making software?
It takes a long time to convert video because it's designed to put less load on the system, making it more of a background task. That being said, this idea doesn't always work, but the thought does count.
