the stats do not seem to be updating, is that a known issue or might it have something to do with a browser cache?
edit* I've noticed that (in my browser at least) the match history graph is current, while the stats tables are not.

Nice stuff dlh, i have another suggestion though: How about the average points scored by ones team, and maybe also the average number of points scored by the opposing team? and, maybe more importantly, the (average?) ratio between those two numbers?

The process to update the stats isn't automatic yet. There could be a cache issue too—I've been messing around with that.Concord wrote:the stats do not seem to be updating, is that a known issue or might it have something to do with a browser cache? [...]
These stats have been added, check the “Team Points” option. Thanks for the suggestion.Lackadaisical wrote:Nice stuff dlh, i have another suggestion though: How about the average points scored by ones team, and maybe also the average number of points scored by the opposing team? and, maybe more importantly, the (average?) ratio between those two numbers?
Edit: Actually, the current “Team Points” stats have a dumb bug. The point totals are way off. I have a fix, and it will be pushed to the server on the next update.
Edit2: Fixed now.
Re: Fortress Café stats (and now ~|DS|~ Mega Fortress)
ArmaSkill (Microsoft TrueSkill) stats have been added for all servers. Use the link on the stats page if you want to view the data sorted primarily by ArmaSkill, instead of Matches Won.

dlh,
This is a continuation from your post on playfortress.
If DS wants to and they change their server to 8v8, could we also reset all of the data you have now (or just keep the past data in a vault and then start fresh)? I think this might boost up the competition in the server.

PsYkO, I didn't make a post on playfortress (Luzifer did).
About boosting competition—I'm planning on hosting a server that uses ArmaSkill ratings. Players will be assigned to teams based on their ratings instead of teams being random. I like playing in pickup games, because the teams end up being evenly matched (most of the time). I want to have a server that you can join freely, and still have a competitive game. It's not going to be “mega”.

Very interesting, good luck!dlh wrote:Players will be assigned to teams based on their ratings instead of teams being random.
Re: Fortress Café stats (and now ~|DS|~ Mega Fortress)
the problem with pick up, is that very few people know how to play 4v4, and a lot of captains can ruin a game by being idiots or picking clan teammates ahead of better players.
Re: Fortress Café stats (and now ~|DS|~ Mega Fortress)
What happened to the idea of assigning players to teams based on their stats?
Besides, sentimentally I've looked up the predictions for team somethingsomething & co
in ladle finals, and gridstats predicted nearly all of its outcomes. Sample 35, 34, 33. It seemed to have a high skill concentration from the very beginning, making most of the matches very uneven.
