Sorry, I've only read a fraction of this thread but maybe this is relevant.

Now we need to find some female gamers and ask if they find that attractive.

I think "actually that stupid". I even see him asserting male dominance without even knowing it. That's part of rape culture....

Women currently settle with what's out there for porn, but that's only because they have no other choice. I'm including the so-called femme-friendly genre that most women *I* know find boring and offensive for completely different reasons.

The huge bulk of games are the same way. Women settle for them because they have no other options. A fair amount of women don't bother playing.

But I guarantee you won't have trouble getting your date to play Mario Cart with you.

I feel like sharing a story of games and girlfriends. Back in the 90's, I got a copy of Joust by Williams Electronics. It was one of my favorites as a kid. For those unfamiliar with Joust, you are a knight riding a large bird and your goal is to joust bad guys, also riding birds. But this game has an awesome 2-player element where players can either work together or joust each other. My girlfriend and I had hours of fun playing it.* The dynamic between cooperation and competition was perfect for our personalities and the game was abstract enough that it appealed to both sexes and all generations. Armagetron is another game that has this same quality. Games like Halo and COD can't compare to the well thought out classics like Joust. However, there are newer games that come close. There are many Wii titles that a great and all the Lego games are good too.

*Of course, Joust is ruined for me now after breaking up with that girl, then going to her house months later and seeing her play it with another guy. I was like "wtf that's our game!" It was like she cheated on me, haha. She later married that guy and divorced him. She and I are still friends, but the game isn't the same anymore.

That was a lovely story, and you tell it so well, with such enthusiasm!

Ok, all mocking aside, it was a lovely story. Arma does have that same abstract feel and is exciting to play together. Wish I could get my wife to play it....

I think the Wii is going to turn out to have revolutionized the console gaming industry. Wireless controllers with simple game controls, I've been at quite a few informal gatherings where turning on the Wii turned the room into a really fun place to be. People can take turns and play all sorts of games that are fun and relationship bonding for everyone there.

Or you can go play CoD in a room by yourself trying to kill as many other people as possible while your family avoids the family room because you're playing.

The games are cheesy and not a whole lot of fun to sit and play .. or stand / whatever. :P But, when you turn it on w/ a group of people, whether it be the Wii or Kinect (dunno if that PS4 cam is used in PS3 too .. but anyways) it does seem to make things a bit more fun. I would choose the kinect over wii though. I don't think the Wii is that great. It feels like an N64 with wireless controls to me.

Okay .. so I've gone off topic.

Playing games by yourself can bring a lot of entertainment too, depending on the game. I'm not into console FPS games, but survival horror games in a nice dark room w/ surround sound and a sub is kind'a fun. Though, the Fatal Frame series is probably my favorite. Yeah .. I'm an xbox one, as in first xbox player. :P Hmm ... "Xbox One" has made this a tad more confusing.

Porn is showing sex, if it doesn't sexualise the focus then what would be the point? You are aware of the point of porn, yes? The point of porn should be to sexualise your desired gender in a way that you find sexually stimulating.
Sexualise doesn't neccessarily mean demean. (Awful sentence to read)

You still don't get it kid. Sexism does not equate with misogyny/misandry, though those things are sexist. Sexism is discrimination against a sex and can be just as much narcissistic as outwardly hateful. You obviously think porn is for men only so you don't see a problem with the unrealistic looks and behavior of girls in the videos. Can your girlfriend identify with those girls? Oh wait...

We have gone over this before. You (and many other men) are so submerged in rape culture as we refer to it you cannot even see the problem. It's like asking a fish "how is the water?" They have no idea what water is until they have been exposed to air. And that's what we are trying to do here, trying to pull you out of your pond of lolraped mentality.

Also, I'm technically anti-feminism when it falls into the same traps we have now. We need more equality, not for the ladies to take over (though that might not be so bad).

Thanks to sinewav for pointing out I didn't say "sexualize", I said "sexist".

Riddle me this: Why do you almost always see a woman on her knees with the man standing, but almost never see a man on his knees with a woman standing? And before you say "That's not possible", I've done it, and my wife appreciated it.

Here's another. As a cross dresser with a strong dominant streak that really comes out during sex, I find it offensive that men wearing women's clothes in porn are always portrayed as submissive. Why do you think that is?

Oh right, because porn is sexist. Women are submissive and men are dominant.

Likewise, the so-called femme-friendly porn is based entirely on stereotypes. Nobody ever bothers to ask women what they really want to see, they just make movies that play up to the stereotypical women. Well I've got news for you. The stereotype is *not* the reality. Science confirms that women are just as interested in casual hook-ups as men. As a demographic, they just don't feel like most men can deal with their needs, while as a demographic, most women can deal with any man's sexual needs. The most common feeling for a woman after a casual hookup? Unsatisfied. And the femme-friendly porn tries to portray everything as "in love" or "a deep connection". I was with a woman who was blindfolded (as was I) from the get-go that I had just met tell me she had two orgasms. The stereotype isn't reality. And that's why the femme-friendly porn sucks. It's not femme-friendly. It plays to the sexist stereotype of a woman, and that's why it offends.

Maybe you'd know this if you actually could satisfy a woman....

That whole second portion of your post was exactly what I just said, porn for women should be like porn for men.

And I'm glad we're getting into personal insults, this sounds like fun -.-

That means porn for men (which is 95% of what's out there) has to change significantly. There's no reason the same sex scene can't show the imagery and interaction that both sexes want to see. There's a reason amateur porn is the quickest-growing segment.
And I'm glad we're getting into personal insults, this sounds like fun -.-
It's usually fun as long as nobody takes it personally. :)
