What is Lagging?

I really don't know what lagging is, I always hear about it, and people say that it is fake but i don't know what it is. So can anyone please tell me what it is please.

It is where people are unable to know in thier head where the cycle is suposed to be on grid even thougth the picture shows it in a differnt location.

It's the time gap between sending and receiving returns to/from the server. A higher ping means it takes longer, and you're updating locations and whatnot slower than everyone else.

Pings are in milliseconds, so 100 is 1/10th of a second, and 1000 would be a second. Since there are so many changes all the time in gametypes like dogfight or high rubber, it can really screw with ya.
