Poll: Best Month for a Yearly Tournament

I left out December and January because those are big holiday months. The goal here is to try and determine the best start/finish of a 9-month Ladle season. In fact, you can pick nine consecutive months if you want, or just your favorite month. I'm hoping with enough feedback we will have a good picture of how to proceed. (This is really about trying to dodge school finals, so everyone's feedback counts.)

It might even be a good idea to run a similar poll on PlayFortress and match up the results.

I think we should have a poll on whether the superladle is a good idea before we proceed any further. This is potentially the biggest change in all of ladle's history and the entire community deserves a say.

Threads have been going for a while and so far no one has anything negative to say. This isn't even a change to Ladle, really. The Bowl is an extra event that arises from Ladle performance. What, you afraid competition is going to increase? Haha...

And finally, if you don't like it you don't have to play it!

American "Association Football" usually occupies a large amount of *some* American's weekends, specifically Sundays, starting early to mid September. Not that it's a noteworthy obstacle, just throwing the information into the abyss! (This is under the assumption that Ladles and similar events are held on Sundays)

Voted for (Late) June, because most people are out of school by then.

I'm curious why we'd do it in other months though, More people should put their reasons.

I voted for March, April, October and November. I avoided the summer months because that's when I'm at home and have a poor connection. I also avoided May because that's finals time for myself as well as many others. February also has the Super Bowl which takes out a Sunday for a lot of Americans.

Voted for November, because exams for germans.. atleast for my University are in June/February...

And I do not mind the rest of the months, but I think I would be more motivated to play tron if the weather sucks outside

Went for March/April/September/October, months with nothing going on, not really any exams, not really in a holiday period.

April because it'll be before finals for most people and often times people have a week of spring break in that time period, so they can afford one Sunday. June because most people are out of school by then and because it's often times before people leave for vacation times (if it's early). October because it's near the start of most school years and it's not a very difficult time to get everything situated school wise.

Heads up for November yearly tournaments: Depending on whether it is the beginning or end of the month, some college finals are taking place or fixing to. Glad to see this getting official Should be really fun.

Last year, I worked at a restaurant on Sundays a few times because I was needed for "football Sundays." I know this is one instance (and one person), but I just thought I'd mention that some people might be stuck in that situation as well. ~Also, I missed the ladle on Super Bowl Sunday (may have played first match?) because I had to work the Super Bowl.~

Edit: April sometimes has the NCAA tournament games in case some people are into that too. Just food for thought.

I'm really impressed with the feedback. I'll let this poll keep going since there is no rush. Now, even though November (currently) is slightly the favorite month, looking at the selections makes me think participation is highest overall from August to April -- and that would be the best time for a season. Also... August -> April == A -> A == Armagetron Advanced! \0/ Hahaha.

If you make the season from August to April, when is the bowl? In April? What about those two potential down months in December and January*?
