I know for a fact that config.h is in with pretty much every version in existence. I can't necessarily confirm that it's the right file from which to edit the program version information.

strange cause I see it in your trunk versions...
is it possible that these r missing from the window's version of the code?

Yes. As I said earlier I seem to remember that there's a batch file involved.

well I just got an answer from kyle and he said the version is located in "major_version" for the Linux source. I still have no clue where it is located for the windows one though

And then I'm bumping around on the forums come June, and I never saw this. Bummer.

config.h is produced by the configure script. It reflects what the configure script determined or was told to enable or not.
