Re: favorite sports and teams?
Track & Field the best and my favorite sport. Get on my level.
Indoor Track is a close second.
Cross Country (running) is third.
Favorite teams (in order):
Middlebury College ladies XC team
Boston Red Sox (they lose by very large margins, which makes trolling my fanboy friends very easy and effective)
SP ladle team (ins is on it)

Well, the NBA sucks altogether, so Malone's performance therein is just irrelevant.
But you look up to a scumbag who abused, tortured, and horrifically murdered dogs, and a prima donna whose ego and selfishness hurt the team and sour the locker room.
"ftw"
So, just to be clear: Westbrook did everything right, never got into trouble, was a good teammate, often accounted for the majority of the team's offense, was an exciting playmaker, and was instrumental in their run to the Super Bowl. Him you don't like.D0nut wrote:i don't like westbrook ... my favorite players from eagles are michael vick and desean jackson

Re: favorite sports and teams?
I will say that I have always loved NCAAB more than the NBA because I feel like in college the players care a lot more but Dirk's finals performance last year was absolutely remarkable and got me interested in the NBA a bit more.

Re: favorite sports and teams?
Is Malone the reason why nobody plays defense in the NBA? Why there's a "concept of space" and that ridiculous restricted area under the basket (which has now unfortunately invaded the NCAA)? Or why everyone runs away whenever a dude drives the lane? Or any of the other rules designed to favor offense? Or why it's predominantly a one-on-one game rather than a team game (obviously, largely attributable to the predominance of man defense)? Is he responsible for the one-and-done rule? That's the kind of stuff I'm talking about when I say the NBA sucks. And that's not even going into other issues, like its organization, or other social or economic aspects.Concord wrote:especially during that decade, and Malone is partly responsible for thisPhytotron wrote:Well, the NBA sucks altogether, so Malone's performance therein is just irrelevant.

Anyway. I was going to whip up a bunch of nifty highlight reel gifs, but I haven't had the time. So, in lieu of that, here's some of the source material I was going to use:
4.20 2006 Recap: CB Sam Madison; [google image search]. Of course, his best years were in Miami, but he was the starting corner on the Giants' Super Bowl XLII team.Desolate wrote:Football (american) - Giants
Grey Cup 2006 Montage; Catching Up with Otis Floyd. Sorry, the latter are all TiCats highlights; couldn't find any with the Lions, only against the Lions, heh.Clutch wrote:Handegg: BC Lions.
Elvis Dumervil; Orange Crush, specifically, Tom Jackson ... FROM.... (do you get ESPN up there?)For REAL handegg, Broncos.
I believe the Canucks of Vancouver are superior warriors.Hockey: Canucks of course.

well lesean mccoy was way better then westbrook
and so was vick i think in my opinion. And he still is and so is lesean mccoy
and idc what people say about vick and what he did
that does not affect him playing a game or being good or not.

Re: favorite sports and teams?
the nba started going down hill when they added the three point line. silly gimmick that encourages players to practice and take bad shots.
according the logic represented by the scoring, there's this line, and if you cross it, even by just a millimeter, the shot has become 50% more difficult. It'd be one thing if all shots were scored according to their distance from the basket, at least then the internal logic would be consistent.
no other sport has something this silly. you don't get an extra run for hitting a 450 foot homerun or 4 points for a 50 yard field goal. this ain't pinball.
