Competition for the creation of a logo for my company.

I am in the process of taking my Local Internet Marketing Business totally legit by incorporating and creating a full, decent looking site for it. The only thing I cant really do is create a Logo for it. The I will need 2 versions of the logo. One version will need to be a logo for the WordPress site. Optimal Size: 160px Wide by 30px Height. The other will be a favicon, the picture that is displayed in your browser to the left of the website's address. Required Size: 16px x 16px. Of course, any competition needs a prize. In this case, I am offering a game server that would be hosted in either Virginia or Ireland, your pick, for one year, up to 16 slots (more slots for spectators if needed), in any game mode or style. Or, I will help you create a unique server, of your idea, if it requires no scripting to implement.

you also might want to invest in revising your own marketing

this makes it look like one has to choose between sales and marketing, rather than marketing leading to sales. (the image is titled salesormarketing ) the teal outline doesn't really work with the blue background of your header there

also, small businesses know what marketing is and they know the purpose. you're goal is to sell them on "Local internet marketing services,"


you should revise the writing on there, the two bits you have are really weak, a couple typos too.

Yes, I have already corrected the typos, and I do know it all needs to be revised. This site won't be going live for at least another week. Concord, did you read the quote above it? Also, keep in mind this is the first of 4 slides that will automatically rotate. Once I have the wording of the post tightened up, you will get it, as will my customers.

Are you planning on not having any paperwork at all? (including business cards etc?) something 160px big is gonna look bad even when printed on small sizes. When is the deadline?

I just need something to put on another website that goes live this week. Yes, there will be other sizes for business cards and invoices. However, I can scale things if needed from the original design. As to a deadline, I would say this Saturday, 2/18 is the deadline for submissions. I do like sine's idea of the 2 letters, C/M being the basis of the logo, but I am open to any and all ideas.

Thank you for the inspiration, sinewav. I ran with the concept for a logo that you showed me, and came up with my own that I will continue to revise.
As my way of saying thanks to you, and all the graphic artists on this forum, I will bring back my old ArmagetronArt server, with the new map and changes that were suggested in the thread about it.
