Are you familiar with this Andreas Dorau? He has apparently been active since '81 (when that song was released) to the present. And has some funky videos.

Yeah, I know Dorau, and I remember that I played with the toy on top of the house but I don't know what happened to it...
Here's something similar (but better imo) - Haindling (a proper translation of his music style would be "techno folklore")

The lyrics are bavarian and impossible to translate ("Man mow you")
Another band I like a lot is IDEAL:
We destroy our luck (piece by piece)
No homeland
(The lyrics of the second one are basically "The man from overseas/The Yanks come/no homeland - who protects me from America? The Yanks come (they were already here) - or come the Chinese/The Russians? Protectors from the USA...we are a reservoir)
