Yeah, I should have proofread that.

Which reminds me of another thing, Phytotron. The "[sic]" thing is quite rude.

You know what, Mecca? You are a profoundly stupid person. You consistently demonstrate that in nearly every post you make. Moreover, you're proud of it. So what the hell do you expect? I'm not going to apologize for that. What shall I do, talk up to your stupidity? Just as when I've said that if you behave like a child I'll treat you like one, if you're an unapologetic idiot I'm going to treat you like one. If you don't like it, shut your damn mouth and stop proving you're a fool.

You are rude, son, you are a troll, you are a spoiled brat, and you can stuff it, chump. There's absolutely no reason why I should be anything but negative towards someone like you. You ask for and deserve it.

I was not talking about talking down to me specifically. You talk down to literally everyone on these forums.

Please explain how I am stupid. Is it just because I do not agree with many of your views? Is it because I play Fortress sometimes? Are you just jealous that I do not appear to be in a bad mood all the time like you appear to be?

Never asked for an apology, and I really don't expect anyone to have to apologize for being who they are.

Not even close. That was the main point. It's like saying Algebra I is advanced mathematics, or Led Zeppelin represents advanced musical composition. Again, that you think it is says more about you.

And you need to get the hell over it. I will not dumb it down any further than I already do, or be a phony, just for you or your notion of conformity. A high schooler, probably even an Advanced Program middle schooler (ever heard of Word Clues?), should be able to follow me just fine, even if you have to look up a word now and then. Take that as an opportunity to learn a new word and absorb it into your own vocabulary, rather than an excuse to be all insecure, resentful, spiteful, and complaining.

And why am I defending myself for using normal words in a proper manner, anyway? You kids have never felt any need to apologise for the way you "speak," yours surely being the more abusive and abnormal; in fact, you're usually rather insolent about it. Yet, whenever I make a comment or criticism of the caveman-like grunts and other nearly incomprehensible junk that gets spewed all over this forum, including all your webkid slang, and chat and texting abbreviations and whatnot (omg @itzacid teh lulz)—or just by my very manner of speaking itself—I'm a mean, old, arrogant bad guy. But you lot are free to complain about me, and often quite snottily. Yah, ok.

Same principle seems to apply to the matter of the content of what's said (e.g., statement of opinion). It seems you guys can dish it out but you can't take it. I say that makes you a bunch of self-centered, hypocritical, unreasoned, illiterate, witless, lifeless, insipid, crude, petty, trite, selectively pollyannaish, snotty, spoiled brats. How's that for a string of non-synonymous adjectives? :)

*****
Sorry for trying to compliment the way you speak . Like mecca said, your vocabulary is clearly above the norm. It seems that no matter how many times I say this, you always pick on something else. I couldn't give a shit about how you utilize your vocabulary, grammar, or anything else for that matter, in the long run. IT'S ABOUT THE DELIVERY OF IT TO OTHERS.

I've never "dished" it out to you. I simply took up for someone that was being called an "ignorant kid" or something of the like. Not once that I can remember have I directly attacked you. Actually, I think I did once a while ago and even took the time to send you a pm apologizing.

If you weren't being a smart alec, that's a great list of semi-synonymous adjectives ;).

Opinions damn well can be wrong—factually, analytically, logically, rationally, and ethically/morally. Surely, anyone who believes that opinions can't be wrong should never take or state any, let alone argue for one (like, for example, that opinions can't be wrong).

Right, but if he thinks you're an asshat then that's his opinion and that isn't wrong.

Opinions can't be wrong...that is why they are called opinions not factual statements...

If no opinions are wrong, then all are right and therefore meaningless (and wrong).

Of course, you know this since you lot are always telling others they're wrong. To repeat myself from earlier in this thread: What's the point of a disagreement if not to contend another opinion is wrong? Isn't that the very definition of "disagree?" And what's the point of having an opinion if you don't think it's right, or more right, even provisionally, than others? You ninnies. More muddleheaded, postmodernist rubbish.

Of course (take II), it's also quite possible, probable even, that you three are just arguing for the sake of it, because it involves me, and don't really believe anything you say (likely you don't even know what you believe about much of anything); more trolling (or whatever you want to call it—being deliberately annoying, troublemaking jerks). Nothing new there.

Whatever the case, what you say is of little to no substantive value, just more noise.

Not being wrong doesn't necessarily make you right...you just aren't wrong. <-- Opinion? Hard to say.

dictionary.com has this as a definition for "wrong"

You two are taking it too far. Acid's opinion on Laufer is neither right or wrong, it's his opinion. Accept it and move on, this is directed towards Word who keeps wanting to convince him otherwise.
